2005 G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 and the Direct-to-Consumer Sets

2005 was a year of change for G.I. Joe. Hasbro launched Sigma 6, an 8-inch line with its own animated series, and moved the classic 3¾-inch figures to Direct-to-Consumer sets sold online in themed packs, alongside the last Valor vs. Venom releases and the two-figure comic packs. The 3¾-inch figures of this period still used the o-ring construction of the vintage line.

2005 at Gijoeforsale

The focus of the shop is the vintage 1982 to 1994 line, so 2005 items are the exception rather than the rule. This page lists whatever is in stock from that year plus the generic parts that fit these figures: stands, screws and o-rings. For the classic sculpts that the 2005 sets reused, the 1980s year pages are the place to look; 1985 and 1988 are the largest.
