1993 G.I. Joe: Battle Corps, Street Fighter II and Star Brigade

By 1993 the line had moved a long way from the 1980s look. Hasbro grouped most figures under Battle Corps, kept Star Brigade going for the space theme, added a second year of Ninja Force and the Mega Marines with their mouldable Bio-Armor, and released a run of Street Fighter II figures with Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, E. Honda and Zangief under the G.I. Joe banner. Bright colours, spring-loaded launchers and heavier sculpts are typical of the year.

The 1993 section is smaller than the 1980s years and leans towards parts: arms, legs and bodies for Ozone v3 and Wet-Suit v4, Street Fighter weapons such as E. Honda's sword and Zangief's missile launcher, and pieces for the Manta Ray and the Invader. Complete figures come and go; Payload v3 and Chun-Li are examples of what is listed at the moment.

Brazilian Estrela releases

A notable part of this section is the Brazilian Comandos em Ação line by Estrela, made under licence from Hasbro. Urzor, an Estrela-exclusive character, and the Brazilian versions of Rampart (Rajada) and Voltar (Mestre Rapina) use G.I. Joe moulds in their own colour schemes and were never sold outside Brazil, which makes them sought after by collectors of international variants.
