The Equalizer was released in 1989 as part of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and the Slaughter's Marauders sub-team. It is a repaint of the classic 1985 Mauler M.B.T. (Mobile Battle Tank), finished in the distinctive blue, green, and brown Slaughter's Marauders camouflage. Unlike the original Mauler, the Equalizer did not include a driver, allowing collectors to crew it with any member of Slaughter's Marauders or other G.I. Joe figures. It is one of only three Slaughter's Marauders vehicles produced during the vintage era.
