• Both the Falcon and Viper Gliders were made largely from lightweight foam, making surviving examples extremely fragile today.

• Many collectors remember the gliders breaking easily during play, especially around the wing edges and rubber-band harness system.

• The Viper Glider appeared in the original Sunbow animated mini-series during Cobra airborne assaults.

• Complete examples with original decals, rubber bands, and pilot are considered rare today because of the fragile materials.

• Foam wings are extremely fragile and often cracked or warped.

• Original rubber bands almost always deteriorated over time.

• Reproduction decals and replacement foam parts exist, so verified originals are more valuable.

• Complete boxed examples are much harder to find than most standard 1983 Cobra vehicles.

• The Viper Pilot figure is frequently missing its original accessories.
