Welcome to G.I. Joe For Sale (gijoeforsale.com). By participating in, bidding on, or winning any auctions hosted on our platform, you agree to be bound by the following legally binding Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing any bids.

1. General Bidding Rules

• Binding Agreement: Every bid placed on gijoeforsale.com is a legally binding contract to purchase the item at the bid amount if you are the winning bidder.

• No Bid Retractions: Bids cannot be canceled, lowered, or retracted once placed. Please review the item description, photos, and your bid amount carefully before confirming.

• Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activity and bids placed through your account. Do not share your login credentials with third parties.

2. Auction Mechanics & Popcorn Bidding

• Reserve Prices: Certain auctions may feature a hidden minimum price ("Reserve Price"). If the highest bid at the close of the auction does not meet or exceed the Reserve Price, the item will not be sold.

• Anti-Snipe Protection (Popcorn Bidding): To maintain a fair environment and prevent last-second automated bot snipes, any bid placed within the final 2 minutes of an auction will automatically extend the remaining auction time by an additional 3 minutes.

• Auction Extensions: The timer will continue to extend until no further bids are placed for a full 3-minute period.

3. Payment Terms

• Payment Deadline: Winning bidders will receive an automated notification and invoice upon auction close. Full payment must be completed within 48 hours of the auction ending.

• Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and standard checkout methods integrated into gijoeforsale.com.

• Default on Payment: Failure to pay within 48 hours without prior communication will result in:

  • Cancellation of the sale.

  • Offering the item to the next highest bidder (runner-up) or relisting the item.

  • A temporary or permanent ban of your account from future auctions and store purchases.

4. Grading, Condition & Item Descriptions

• Vintage Nature: All items sold in our auctions are vintage collectibles (dating primarily from 1982–1994) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Items are sold AS-IS.

• Condition Reports: We strive to provide highly detailed descriptions, grading scale notes (e.g., C-8, C-9, Mint), and high-resolution photographs detailing accessories, paint wear, stress marks, and elbow joints.

• Buyer Due Diligence: It is the buyer’s responsibility to review all photographs and descriptions prior to bidding. If you require additional detail photos or condition clarification, you must request this prior to placing a bid.

5. Shipping & Free 150-Day Storage Service

• Combining Won Items: Winning auction items can be shipped immediately or stored free of charge using our 150-Day Free Storage Service.

• Storage Option: To hold your item, select the "Hold for Storage" option during checkout. Stored items can be combined with future store or auction purchases to reduce overall shipping fees.

• Shipping & Import Taxes: The winning bidder is responsible for all calculated shipping costs, customs duties, import fees, and local taxes applicable in their destination country.

6. Returns & Refunds

• Auction Finality: Due to the nature of auction sales and vintage collectibles, all auction sales are final. Returns, refunds, or exchanges are not accepted unless an item was demonstrably misrepresented or the wrong item was shipped.

• Damaged in Transit: In the rare event an item is damaged during shipment, please contact us within 48 hours of package delivery with photographs of both the external shipping box and the damaged product.

7. Modifications & Account Termination

gijoeforsale.com reserves the right to cancel bids, terminate or extend auctions due to technical malfunctions, or restrict/ban accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent bidding practices.
