Destro’s Dominator 1990

Overview

Destro’s Dominator was released by Hasbro in 1990 as part of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line. This unusual Iron Grenadiers vehicle combines two combat machines in one: an armored tracked tank that transforms into an attack helicopter.

Designed to outmaneuver G.I. Joe forces on land and in the air, the Dominator features retractable tracks, deployable rotor blades and an array of missile and machine-gun weaponry. Its transforming design makes it one of the more distinctive vehicles in the 1990 collection.

The vehicle was sold without an included action figure. Although the original box artwork depicts characters such as Metal-Head and Undertow, these figures were sold separately.

Collector Appeal

Destro’s Dominator is a distinctive 1990 Iron Grenadiers vehicle that combines two different combat configurations in one toy. Its transforming design, missile launcher and swivelling machine guns make it an appealing addition to a vintage collection.

For GIJoeForSale.com, photograph the vehicle in both tank and helicopter modes. Clearly showing the four missiles, both machine guns and the front launcher will help buyers assess its completeness and value.
